OUR TITHE PARTNERS
In addition to the 19 new homes we’ve built in Hancock County to date, your support has also helped to build homes overseas–the equivalent of 39.5 homes to date (2021)! Each year, affiliates are asked to tithe 10% of their unrestricted funds to sister affiliate(s) or particular program concerns (e.g. Widows & Orphans fund, Disaster Relief, etc.) through HFH International.
For several years in a row, our affiliate chose Romania as its tithe recipient. Our annual tithe amounts to ~12% of the cost of building a home in Romania (using figures found in a 2012 realtor.com article).

And, for the last two years (2020-2021), our tithe was designated to Cote d’Ivoire, Lesotho and Kenya, countries identified as having priority funding needs through HFHI. All three countries seek to meet the need of housing for orphans & vulnerable groups as part of their spending, but additional priority programs address: community-led total sanitation projects and housing loan funds (Cote d’Ivoire); advocacy & educational training for inheritance rights and security of tenure (Lesotho); and, water & sanitation, disaster risk reduction & response, and the building of economic well-being through financial literacy, improved access to financial services including microfinance, etc. (Kenya).
