IMMEDIATE PT, YEAR-ROUND OPENING: Construction Manager — Must have 5-years min. professional construction & supervisory experience and hold OSHA certification(s) or be willing to attend training(s). Preference given to contractors w/ experience working in towns following the current Int’l Res. Code (IRC). Oversees all aspects of Habitat’s construction process–from scheduling to material ordering to soliciting vendor donations to supervision of volunteers & subcontractors. Maximizes labor and materials to produce quality, accessible, energy-efficient homes in a safe, affordable manner. An average of 1 new residential construction project each year; currently in Franklin. Potential for some additional home rehab. projects as time & resources allow. Candidate should be able to communicate well with people of all backgrounds–training and motivating both skilled and unskilled volunteers in construction tasks–and be able to articulate Habitat’s mission to volunteers & donors. Position may either be filled by a P/T employee or an eligible independent contractor. PT, generally one weekday [some flexibility] plus Saturdays [required].
